Live Artist Talk and a Guided Tour of Live Artist Talk and Guided Tour.
At 6pm, Wednesday 28 February, Artvisor and Cardi Gallery will host an evening to celebrate the success of Claudio Verna’s first major retrospective in Britain.
The evening will begin with a tour led by the exhibition’s curator and founder of Artvisor, Piero Tomassoni.
Piero, a specialist of Verna’s work and of postwar Italian art, will consider the artist’s legacy as he navigates the gallery’s three floors. He will explore the context surrounding Verna’s involvement with ‘Pittura Analitica,’ or Analytical Painting, and why the artist’s dedication to the field of painting reignited enthusiasm for the medium throughout Europe.
The tour will then be followed by a talk between Verna and Tomassoni. This will provide a rare and invaluable opportunity to gain a closer insight into the artist’s inspirations and methodologies.
If you are unable to attend the event in person, do not fear. A live stream will be made available on Artvisor’s Instagram channel. Tune in at 6pm!
